A life list is a list of all the different species someone has seen!  Life lists don't have to be limited to birds, but this website is called Bird Nird, so I'm only going to put my birding life list here.  Some birders are competitive with their life lists.  I'm not.

I use the Cornell Lab of Ornithology's apps Merlin and eBird to document the birds I see, so this life list is really a list of what I've documented in Merlin.  There are certainly other species of birds I've seen, but I saw them before I started using Merlin, so I didn't log them as a sighting and they aren't on this list.  There are also plenty of birds on this list that I saw well before the date listed, but the date is the first time I logged the sighting.  These false first dates are marked with an asterisk.

You can see photos of some of these birds on the Bird Photos page, and eventually (hopefully) watercolors of all of them on the Life List Paintings page (but it'll be a long time before I've painted all of them).  However, I don't take pictures of every bird I see, so you'll have to use your imagination or look elsewhere for some of these species.

Note: Weebly did not like me trying to create a table with 131 rows, and the table creation function I have access to in Weebly is not set up for efficient use (or I don't know how to use it efficiently), so for now this list is incomplete.  I'll eventually fill it in but for now you'll just have to guess what birds I've seen.
