I am slowly but surely working on painting my life list in watercolors.  The project is a way to get more familiar with watercolors, and also a way to look at birds.  These are roughly in the order I painted them, and some of my bird paintings have not been added to the website because I want to give them another shot before showing them off.  You may notice that some of them seem like better paintings than others (for example, I think the hawk needs some work).  That's because they are, and because I don't know what I'm doing!  I'm figuring it out as I go.

For most of these paintings, I used photos from online or from the Merlin app as a reference, but Squash is an individual cormorant I have photos of and I used those photos as a reference for this painting!
